Alana Carusotto

Physical Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Specialist

Alana M. Carusotto, PT, DPT, CLT is a physical therapist and certified lymphedema therapist who is committed to excellence in patient care. Alana joined PRO Rehabilitation Services in April 2022. A graduate of Misericordia University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Alana's background includes experience in orthopedics, lymphedema, pediatrics and sports medicine. Alana is a passionate supporter of lymphedema awareness and recognizes the immediate need of lymphedema treatment within our community. As a certified lymphedema therapist, Alana specializes in breast cancer-related lymphedema, post-surgical edema and venous-related edema.

Alana has a strong belief in preserving the future of the physical therapy field by educating physical therapy students in the areas of orthopedics, lymphatics, cancer care and other disciplines. Alana contributes by serving as an adjunct instructor for Misericordia University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program since 2020, as well an instructor at Johnson College's Physical Therapy program since 2018. Alana also serves as a Senior Instructor for an online teaching company since 2016, focusing on physical therapy national board exam preparation.

Alana's goal is to provide a positive atmosphere that allows patients to achieve their functional goals, return to their optimum level of health, and enjoy life to the fullest capacity. Alana's philosophy is to treat her patients as if they were a part of her own family by encouraging a friendly and supportive environment.
