Ralph Kovaleski

Occupational Therapist, OTR/L

Ralph J. Kovaleski, OTR/L earned his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from College Misericordia in May 1985, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to rehabilitation and injury prevention. He has pursued specialized training in Industrial Medicine, Job Analysis, Ergonomic Assessment & Intervention, and Upper Extremity Evaluation and Rehabilitation Techniques for the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Additionally, Ralph is a certified Blankenship Functional Capacity Evaluator providing objective assessments to identify physical capability, thereby, helping to guide return-to-work processes, disability claims, and case resolutions with precision and expertise.

Ralph has lectured on topics such as Therapy's Role in Return-to-Work, Spine & Extremity Injury Prevention, and Practical Ergonomics for Work & Everyday Life. His audiences have ranged from civic and senior organizations to various business/office staff to health care providers to industrial workers; including those involved in manufacturing, distribution, and mining industries. Ralph has also presented at the OSHA Governor’s Occupational Safety & Health Conference, NE Regional Occupational Health & Safety Conference, and the Pennsylvania Association of Occupational Health Nurses Conference. Beyond his community engagements, he routinely incorporates practical ergonomics principles and instruction into his clinic rehab programs to assist his patients to avoid symptom exacerbation while they recover from their injury. This approach has helped individuals improve tolerance to daily demands, facilitate speedy recovery, promote increased function and enhance his patient’s quality of life.

Ralph joined PRO Rehabilitation Services in August 2000 and currently provides treatment at the Moosic, Dallas, and Plains clinics. He also conducts Functional Capacity Evaluations at the Moosic and Hazleton locations.
Outside of work, Ralph enjoys quality time with family and is involved in martial arts.
